David A. Alvarez, GEO Founder, President, and Broker of Record. While developing his own restaurant chain he owned and operated for over two decades, Mr. Alvarez gained comprehensive knowledge and extensive hospitality real estate experience in: Acquisition, Disposition, Assemblage, Budgeting, Business Valuations, Compliance, Zoning, Development, Marketing, Expansions, Funding, Restructuring, Shareholder Contracting, (JV) Joint Ventures, Ownership contracts, 1031 exchanges, and Lease Negotiations with large commercial real estate companies like SIMON Property Group. Mr. Alvarez established GEO alongside a very dedicated TEAM in the state of New Jersey focusing on helping hospitality owners develop, sell, buy, grow, or simply retire from the industry.

Mr. Alvarez started his hospitality career at the age of 15. He has worked the gamut in the restaurant industry; 80-110 hours per week as a hands-on owner, 16 hours daily. He has a lot of gratitude for the industry. Mr. Alvarez graduated from Cliffside Park High School and studied Business Administration at Ramapo College in Mahwah. He became a restaurateur owner in 1999. He co-developed and co-owned the very popular Romanza restaurant in River Vale, New Jersey. In 2004, he founded, built, owned, and operated Banchetto Feast, Nanuet, New York and Banchetto Feast, Westwood, New Jersey.

We will never forget Mr. Gashi. Mr. Alvarez received a mobile call on a Sunday morning from an unknown number, Mr. Gashi was calling about needing help. In a soft spoken voice and eloquent English with an accent, Mr. Gashi, said ” I am young in my 30s, hard working, and want to own a good restaurant, can you help?”. Mr. Alvarez went to meet Mr. Gashi at his two family house while Mr. Gashi was baby sitting his beautiful children. A humble home, they spoke about the fast changing gastronomy world, its complexities, challenges, and Mr. Gashi’s hospitality plans. Since that Sunday, Mr. Gashi has purchased two restaurants for over 10 million dollars from Mr. Alvarez and today they are best of friends. At GEO we strongly believe to always be available to others and never preconceive anyone’s ability and value.
