About the Founder:
David A. Alvarez, the founder of GEO, while developing his own restaurant chain and managing in 1999, he gained comprehensive knowledge and extensive hospitality real estate experience in: Buying, Selling, Developing, Marketing, Financing and Negotiating leases with large commercial real estate companies like Simon Properties. Mr. Alvarez established GEO alongside a very dedicated TEAM in the state of New Jersey focusing on helping restaurant owners sell, buy, develop Restaurants, grow, or simply retire from the industry.
Mr. Alvarez started his hospitality career at the age of 15. He has worked the gamut in the restaurant industry; from 80 hours per week as an employee, manager, concept developer, to owner, buyer, and seller. He has a lot of gratitude to the industry. Mr. Alvarez graduated from Cliffside Park High School and studied Business Administration at Ramapo College in Mahwah. He became a restaurateur owner in 1999. He co-developed and co-owned the very popular Romanza restaurant in River Vale, New Jersey. In 2004, he founded, built, owned, and operated a chain of two restaurants, Banchetto Feast, Nanuet, New York and Banchetto Feast BYOB, Westwood, New Jersey.
Mr. Alvarez believes owning and operating a restaurant is a business, not a hobby. He did it for 20+ years. He considers a restaurant owner to be some of the hardest working people. Unconventional work schedules, stay in business by constantly changing, adapting to new demands and ideals while maintaining integrity and quality to the craft. As a restaurant owner for over 20+ years, Mr. Alvarez is familiar with all day-to-day operations of running a restaurant including but not limited to concept development, implementation, accounting, food cost, overhead, and risk management. Mr. Alvarez understands the complexities of the industry, and how to get in and out of the hospitality industry.
